11 years ago I joined The Ravensbourne School as the Head of Department for Geography as I was so inspired by the vision and pace of the school. Since then I have had the opportunity to work in a number of different roles and I am now part of the senior leadership team that oversees the running of the Trust. Being part of a leadership team means that no two days are ever the same. My job ranges from helping a poorly child to the medical room to meeting with architects to design our new school. I work with the children as much as possible and always manage to fit some Year 11 tuition in each week as otherwise I’d miss my teaching too much. Every day I spend some time visiting lessons to monitor the teaching and learning and I have ongoing meetings with staff looking at how students are progressing in their different subject areas. Lunch duties, meeting with parents, looking at budgets … the job description is vast!
