giving parents and carers a voice

As a new school we have an extremely exciting opportunity to build an educational establishment from scratch. Parent voice will play an important part in informing decision making for the school. Whilst we will conduct annual parental questionnaires there are two other ways that our parents can contribute.

We will run a parent forum where a consistent team of parents will meet termly to discuss agenda points brought to the table. Parents will also be invited to set their own points for an agenda. This type of informal feedback is invaluable when seeking opinions from our direct school community. Nearer to opening, we will be recruiting parents for both of these roles and look forward to your interest.

Local Governing Body

Like the other three schools within the Trust, Eden Park High School will have its own Governing Body. The Governing Body will be constituted as follows:
Headteacher (not the Chair)

  • 4 parent members
  • 2 members from the local community
  • 1 staff member (not on Leadership Team)

The local Governing Body will monitor and evaluate the work of the school in meeting expected standards. It will monitor the school’s response to meeting the strategy laid down in the Trust’s Strategic Development Plan. Additionally, the local Governing Body provides a voice for parents and the local community.
