ALL SMILES AT EDEN PARK HIGH SCHOOL FOR GCSE RESULTS DAY

Staff and governors are extremely proud of our Year 11 students today. Eden Park High School students have a great set of results and are all set for their next stage of education.

As for all young people, the last three years have not been easy, yet our students consistently showed the resilience, determination and hard work that has enabled them to progress to the courses they want to take next year.

We are also excited to see so many of our Year 11 students - as well as those from other schools - sign up for our Sixth Form as they continue on their journey towards university and future careers. For those continuing on alternative pathways, we wish the best of luck in the future and very much look forward to hearing their future stories of success.

Ella Doyle (pictured) was ecstatic to have achieved an outstanding eight grade 9s. Jamie Stewart’s four grade 9s and five grade 8s was also a fantastic achievement. Megan Bannister was 'so surprised’ to receive seven grade 9s and will be going on to study A Levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and History. Sasha Buckley, who achieved four grade nines across her ten subjects is going on to study Psychology, Chemistry, Biology and Geography. In kind words of encouragement to younger students, Sasha said to ‘keep trying as it all pays off!’

We would like to thank all staff, governors, parents and carers for their hard work in supporting our students’ achievements. None of this would have been possible without their dedicated help and support. DD and ED celebrating their clean sweep of outstanding grades.

KEY STAGE 4 RESULTS STATEMENT

The grading GCSEs is now done on a 9 – 1 scale, with grade 9 being awarded for exceptional performance. A grade 5 is considered a strong pass and is often used by colleges, sixth forms, universities and employers as a required qualification for further study or employment. Parents and carers may find this link helpful as it provides guidance on the new grading system.

Eden Park High School achieved its first ever set of results in August 2022. The new leadership team has been in place since September 2022 and oversaw a significant increase in the results achieved by students in the summer of 2023.

Thanks,
Stephen
