Enrichment at Key Stage 5
The aim of the Enrichment programme is to develop existing or new interests, allow skills to grow and to inspire our students. Every week, each student takes part in a 100 minute session dedicated to Enrichment. At the beginning of each term, students select their preferences as to which sessions they would like to take part in and are then placed into the sessions and at the end of each term they reselect option, so they get a wide and varied provision designed to take students out of their comfort zone and consider exploring new hobbies.
The current activities that Year 12s are taking part in include:
- French
- Debate
- Cooking
- Hairdressing
- Football
- Basketball
- Health & Fitness
As well as this, EPHS is starting up the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award from September 2022 and will be looking to expand the programme year on year.
Furthermore, sessions are booked in during this time to further develop knowledge and skills required for life after education, which includes workshops on finances, careers and RSE.
